The department is pleased to welcome three new members: Moramay Lopez-Alonso (Modern Mexico), Kathryn de Luna (Africa) and Alida C. Metcalf (Brazil).  We are delighted that Timothy J. Fitzgerald continues with the department this year as a visiting lecturer in the history of the Middle East.  The department is pleased to welcome Ann S. Chao as a visiting lecturer in Chinese history.
